Torus is thrilled to announce that their dedicated Employment Team have been awarded Team of the Year at the ERSA Employability Awards 2018.
The win was announced at a recent ceremony in London hosted by ITV news presenter Lucrezia Millarini, with the keynote address delivered by the Minister for Employment, Alok Sharma MP.
The ERSA Employability Awards celebrate best practice across the employment support sector and seek to demonstrate the day-to-day hard work and dedication of those working to improve the lives of jobseekers, communities and the wider workforce.
Daniel Bamford, Employment Initiatives Manager at Torus said: “Judges were particularly impressed by how the team have come together by a shared desire to put the individual at the heart of everything we do.”
Across Torus, social landlords Helena Partnerships and Golden Gates Housing Trust own, manage and maintain around 22,000 homes as well as offering their 44,000 customers a range of employment support initiatives.
Since coming together three years ago the group has helped over 2,400 local people into work, training or education across Merseyside and Cheshire.
Sustainable Communities Director, Gill Healey said: “We’re thrilled to have been awarded such an accolade, especially one that nationally recognizes just how much we improve lives.
At Torus we understand how difficult it is for our customers to find a job, as well as the wider impact long term unemployment has on our neighbourhoods.
As a group we work hard to build a strong reputation with communities, partners and employers to make sure we get the right help to the right people in the right ways.”
