We manage around 40,000 homes in Warrington, Liverpool, St Helens and beyond, for over 75,000 customers. Our portfolio ranges from affordable rent to homes for older people, Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy, and supported accommodation for people with additional care needs.

Torus Timeline

2024

We unveiled our new five-year corporate plan, Developed through collaboration with stakeholders including residents, colleagues, and board members.

2021

We launched our new five-year corporate plan, while increased Homes England funding enabled us to extend our Affordable Homebuilding Programme.

2020

We maintained our essential services throughout Covid-19 and pledged more than £12m to support communities in crisis.

2019

Liverpool Mutual Homes merged with Torus to create larger group that is to invest £750m in new homes following £66m award from strategic partner Homes England.

2017

ComMutual is launched as LMH’s charitable arm, delivering employment, digital, financial wellbeing and health initiatives across Liverpool.

2015

Golden Gates Housing Trust and Helena Partnerships merged to create the Torus Group, with a portfolio of 22,000+ homes in Cheshire, Merseyside and West Lancashire.

2011

HMS is formed to carry out repairs and maintenance across the LMH property portfolio.

2010

Golden Gates Housing Trust is established, managing 8,000+ homes in Warrington.

2008

Liverpool Mutual Homes is launched as Liverpool’s largest housing association, responsible for 15,000+ homes.

2002

Helena Partnerships housing association is set up, managing 14,000+ homes in Merseyside.
