Torus has been upgraded to the top consumer standard rating less than a year after its planned regulatory inspection.

The Regulator of Social Housing confirmed Torus has moved from C2 to C1 and now holds the highest ratings across all regulatory areas: C1 for consumer, G1 for governance and V1 for financial viability.

While it was clear that last year’s Consumer grade was compliant at C2, we set our sights on achieving a grade consistent with our governance and viability performance.

As a reminder, the Regulator assesses organisations based on three fundamental criteria: Governance, Viability and Consumer standards. These are graded on a scale from 1 to 4, with grades 1 and 2 signifying compliance with the relevant standards.

Our G1, V1, and now C1 ratings demonstrate that Torus consistently meets the Regulator's highest expectations across all areas, ensuring the quality of services we provide to our tenants, customers and stakeholders.

This achievement is a testament to our organisation's strength, strategic clarity, and the dedication of our colleagues. It reflects our ongoing efforts to be open and transparent with the Regular throughout the process.
